Base Model

Reduce the number of dongles and adapters you carry while simultaneously expanding your connectivity options with the space gray USB Type-C Travel Dock from OWC / Other World Computing. Small, lightweight, and compatible with both USB Type-C and Thunderbolt 3 ports, this dock connects to your host Windows, Mac, iOS, and Chrome system using an integrated USB Type-C cable. It features two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, a SD/SDHC/SDXC card reader that supports UHS-II transfer speeds of up to 312 MB/s, and an HDMI 2.0 port that supports resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 at 30 Hz with a 24-bit color depth. Power options include bus power via your system USB Type-C or Thunderbolt 3 port, or take advantage of the docks integrated USB Type-C ports, which supports up to 100W of charging power for your device when connected to a USB Type-C power adapter.

Please note that the USB Type-C port only supports power pass-through and does not support peripheral connectivity.

In addition to USB Type-C connectivity, the OWC USB Type-C Travel Dock is also fully compatible with Thunderbolt 3 equipped Macs and PCs, and may be connected directly through a Thunderbolt 3 port on a computer or Thunderbolt 3 device.

Powerful Options

When you are on the go, having power and charging options can help keep your work flowing. The USB Type-C Travel Dock can be used via bus power when you do not have access to a power outlet. Or, use your notebook USB Type-C power adapter to deliver up to 100W of pass-through power and use the open port on your computer to connect another device.

Disconnect In One Click

Available as a free download, the OWC Dock Ejector software safely disconnects the USB Type-C Travel Dock in a single click. Designed by OWC hardware and software engineers, Dock Ejector helps ensure all data is written before disconnection, saving time and protecting against data loss. Use it to move quickly between workstations and get the most out of your OWC Dock.

Power

In most scenarios the dock will draw 8W from its power source. When connected to a power adapter, the dock will draw power from the adapter instead of bus power from the host computer.

If the media reader or USB peripherals connected to the dock do not perform as expected, connect the dock to a dedicated USB Type-C power adapter. Depending on the adapter connected, the dock can pass up to 92W to the host computer. Any power not used by the dock and its ports is passed to the host for battery charging, if applicable.
