The Mercury Pro U.2 Dual from OWC is a professional-grade Thunderbolt dual bay U.2 SSD enclosure for Mac and Windows computers. It supports two NVMe U.2 SSDs so that you can edit high-resolution files on the fly, ingest and duplicate dailies, and back up huge music and photo libraries in a flash. At the same time, it's a compact solution small enough to easily fit on a DIT cart, in a rack, or on your desktop.
Configure the Mercury Pro U.2 Dual to your liking. Set it up for cost-effective and streamlined RAID 0 and RAID 1 storage using a 2.5" or 3.5" U.2 drive, or an NVMe M.2 SSD and a U.2 adapter, such as the OWC U2 ShuttleOne, in each bay.
An extra Thunderbolt port lets you daisy-chain devices to your Mercury Pro U.2 Dual to expand your capabilities. Add up to five additional Thunderbolt solutions and merge them with the included SoftRAID software for advanced storage. Attach a 5K display or two 4K Thunderbolt displays. You can even place a USB device at the end of the chain. The Mercury Pro U.2 Dual gives you the freedom to use more of what you need. It's compatible with macOS 10.13 High Sierra, 10.14 Mojave, 10.15 Catalina, 11.x Big Sur, and 12.x Monterey, and with Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016.
The included SoftRAID XT software is a complete drive management system, an intuitive software RAID utility compatible with Mac and Windows. Multiple RAID levels let you select the RAID level that fits your needs. Packed with features like drive validation, verification, and failure prediction, SoftRAID is like having a datacenter on your desktop. SoftRAID provides a solution for home users looking to protect photos and documents to professionals who need to protect and quickly access projects.
The Mercury Pro U.2 Dual can be taken wherever you need. At 3.3 x 5.8 x 9.4" and weighing just 4 lb (with optional drives installed), the Mercury Pro U.2 Dual can travel anywhere your workflow takes you. It connects to Thunderbolt Macs and PCs and can work cross-platform using OWC's MacDrive software, sold separately.
