The Avid Artist DNxIV I/O Interface provides the connections, bandwidth, portability, and processing features for 4K capture, monitoring, and output in the studio and in the field. Avid Artist DNxIV is compatible with Media Composer, Media Composer Ultimate, and the Media Composer NewsCutter and Symphony options.
One of the outstanding features of DNxIV is an XLR mic input on the front that allows you to record voiceovers and narration directly to your Media Composer timeline. DNxIV offers two Thunderbolt 3 ports that will provide you with the bandwidth you need for high-resolution formats, accurate time sync, and low latency. The device also has hardware scaling and onboard 3D processing. Use it for HDR monitoring, 3D stereoscopic workflows, and much more.
Note: 1) Certain frame rates, color spaces, and color space conversion are supported in Avid Artist DNxIV but are currently not supported in Avid Media Composer. 2) An Avid DB25 breakout cable is expected to be released that will allow 8 channels of analog audio input/output via the DB25 port on the rear panel.
